Minimize to Optimize
The MIT Center for Computational Engineering, established in 2008, prepares engineers and scientists to be the next generation of CE innovators. Computational engineering plays an important role in economic competitiveness, national security, environmental stewardship, and public safety. The Center offers two interdisciplinary educational programs: a masters in Computation for Design & Optimization (CDO) and a doctorate in Computational Science & Engineering (CSE).
In 2008, Studio-e created the core marketing materials for the Center using graphics generated from the program's coursework. Currently, we produce a marketing poster each year for the CDO based on the original format. This year we designed a companion poster for the new degree doctorate program in CSE. The posters are used internally at MIT as well as mailed to targeted undergraduate students and departments. The Center's marketing efforts have been minimal, targeted and effective, resulting in the enrollment of the required number of students each year.
